Everything Ban in Russia? - Cyber Updates

Hello Friends

I will talk about new companies that are banned in Russia
due to recent happenings between Ukraine and Russia.
Samsung has completely banned the shipping of their products to
Russia and Spotify has decided to close their local offices in Russia,
Activision Company has stopped sales of their video games there and
Russia is moving towards using locally manufactured smartphones in
place of iPhone as iPhones sales are currently halted by apple in Russia.

Last week Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine,
which sparked international outcry. Since then the world has responded
by imposing sanctions on Russia.

Below we look at everything Russia is currently restricted to.
SWIFT
Seven Russian banks were banned from SWIFT, while two of the country's
largest institutions were excluded - Sberbank and Gazprombank.
Both banks are exempt because they handle most of the gas and oil tariffs.

The seven banks are VTB Bank, Otkritie Bank, Novikombank,
Promsvyazbank, Rossiya Bank and Sovcombank, as well as VEB,
Russia's development bank.

The spirit realm
The EU, Canada and the US have closed their airports in Russian airlines.
Ports
The UK has barred Russian ships from entering its ports and Joe
Biden is expected to follow American ports.

Russian athletes have been barred from competing in the Winter
Paralympics after the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) made a
U-turn after much criticism by announcing that Russian athletes
could compete under a neutral banner.

The governing body of Badminton World Federation and Volleyball has
canceled the scheduled matches in Russia, and the International Boxing
Association says it will consider rescheduling the Global Boxing Cup to
be played in Russia in June. The International Canoe Federation will hold
talks on the launch of three events planned for Russia this year.

Hollywood companies are stopping film releases
Warner Bros., Sony Pictures and The Walt Disney Company have
announced that they are suspending the release of films in Russia in
response to an ongoing dispute in Ukraine.
